Frequently Asked Questions
How large are your classes?
Our classes average eight to twelve students per class.
Do you take students with disabilities?
Yes. In fact, we can modify
your training to fit your specific disability. We believe you should still be able to enjoy martial arts, and not be limited by anything.
Do you have women in your classes?
Yes. We have about 50% women and 50% men in our classes.
Do you teach self-defense for women?
Yes. Every class we teach IS self-defense for women. There is no need for a segregated women's class because women can do all the same things that men can do. We believe in equality and empowerment.
What is the average age of the students in your classes?
The average age is 35. We have about 20% in their early twenties and 20% are above forty, but 60% are between 30 and 40.
Is there a family discount?
Yes. If you enroll one sibling at the regular tuition rate, any additional siblings receive a discounted rate. Please contact us directly for more information.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us!
Do I need prior experience or training?
No. You don't need any experience. In fact, we prefer new students who have little or no martial arts experience. It's easier to fill an "empty vessel," plus there are no bad habits to unlearn.
What equipment will I need to have when I become a registered student?
When you become a student, you will need:
1. Wrestling Shoes
2. Mixed Martial Arts Gloves
What do I need to wear to my first class?
Wear clothing that is easy to move in and suited to exercise, such as t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, yoga pants etc. You can go barefoot or wear socks.
Do you have classes for kids? And what ages do you accept?
Yes. Our kids classes are called Junior Dragons. We accept kids from six years to twelve years old. Please visit our Junior Dragons page for a class description.
What do I need to bring to my first class?
You don't need to bring anything during your first class. Just be sure to wear a mask and bring your proof of vaccination and booster with you, or you won't get inside the buidling.
Am I too old to learn your martial arts?
No. It is never too late to get started doing martial arts. We don't believe that age is a limitation to learning. In fact, our martial arts program can be modified to fit your personal needs.
